About the Department


The Department has 2 objectives:


Educational goal

  • Understanding root canal treatment in the dental curriculum.
  • Understanding the biological bases of natural tissues and diseases affecting the pulp of the teeth and the roots.
  • Knowing and realizing that the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases of pulp and root that was developed as a result of research that led to progress in the fields of dentistry, and this is done by linking the basic and clinical sciences and their impact on each other.

Research goal

The Department conducts scientific research on the teeth and tissues surrounding the teeth as well as the materials used in the root canal treatment such as fillers and tools used in the cleaning and shaping of root canals.
